Terms & Conditions
By making a reservation you indicate full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
We require a 50% deposit to secure all online bookings with the balance paid upon departure.
Bookings will only be secured once a deposit has been paid and written confirmation received.
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. A 4% surcharge will be applied to card payments due to administration fees.
We do not accept travellers cheques.
Cancellations: A cancellation charge of one night's stay will be applied for all cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival or in the case of no shows.
Refunds: We offer refunds for all cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice or in the case of serious sickness or death.
Returned cheques: Should a cheque be returned by the bank as not valid, the customer must replace the cheque with certified funds within 72 hours including an additional 5% charge. If no replacement has been received within this time frame, the booking will be cancelled.
Disputes: Any disagreements about reservations or payments and any complaints about quality or service should be made in writing to the hotel within seven days. Once this time elapses, it will be deemed that issue in question did not occur and no compromise will be made on outstanding monies. In the case of a dispute on an invoice, only the amount under dispute may be withheld from prompt payment.
Currency: All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD$) and all payments must be made in USD$ or Tanzanian Shillings. Other currencies maybe used at the hotel's discretion and exchange rates. Please note that we do not accept USD$ notes from before the year 2000.
Taxes: Prices include VAT and all other applicable taxes and fees. A service charge of 3% exclusive of VAT is applied on accommodation. Other additional fee includes a 2% Tourism Development Levy which is also applied on bed nights.
Liability Waiver: Sea Cliff Hotel, or any of its owners, employees or representatives, shall have no liability for any personal injury or death to persons on our property, or illness directly or indirectly related to the property.
Further, we shall have no liability for any personal injury or death to persons using equipment supplied by us, or while engaging in activities at Sea Cliff Hotel. Sea Cliff Hotel cannot and will not be held responsible for loss, damage, illness, or injury caused by third parties who we recommend for their services.
Sea Cliff Hotel, or any of its owners, employees or representatives, is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property however caused. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property, including locking your doors when leaving or sleeping.A digital safe is provided in every room for valuables and items can also be securely held in the Duty Manager's safe.
Sea Cliff Hotel does not accept responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside our control such as late arrival of international flights, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government, acts of terrorism, or the failure of any machinery or equipment.
